Getting to know my story.

Hello, I'm Alex Ivanovitch. I am a dual American and French social entrepreneur specialized in designing high-impact tech-enabled solutions for governments and businesses. My academic journey in digital humanities led me to spend a decade researching and teaching at Sorbonne Université in France. While immersed in the future of learning, I felt the need to transition from research to action. Winning the XPRIZE Visioneers competition (sponsored by the Roddenberry Foundation) marked the beginning of my journey in the realm of mission-driven design. Over the next 8 years, I developed high-impact tech-enabled applications for governments, including experiential programs for older adult's well-being in nursing homes and interfaith dialogue modules sponsored by the US Institute of Peace (tested in Pakistan).

My trajectory has been anything but linear. Leaving a centuries-old academic institution for the futuristic narrative of Star Trek in the 23rd century, as reflected in the Roddenbbery Foundation's support, was a significant time-traveling leap. Each phase of my career has been instrumental in shaping the professional I am today.

My academic experience at Sorbonne Université honed my appreciation for data integrity, analytical rigor, and a disciplined mindset—qualities essential for developing impactful, evidence-based design solutions. Transitioning into the world of social entrepreneurship and "tech for good" initiatives, I embraced the dynamic, startup-driven approach required for swift and effective action. This journey as a serial designer of tech-for-good projects cultivated a go-getter attitude that is indispensable for any forward-thinking organization.
